All About Ashiatsu Massage

Do you enjoy the benefits of a deep-tissue massage but sometmes find them too intense? Then you might want to consider an Ashiatsu massage. Ashiatsu is a deep-tissue technique that involves the application of the massage therapist’s feet—rather than their hands, arms, or elbows—to a client’s body.

During a massage, the therapist uses Ashiatsu bars, which we’ve mounted to beams on the ceiling, to hold onto and safely stabilize themselves as they work with their client. The feet can cover a larger area of the body, and the movement of the therapist is slow, using broad compressive movements that quickly induce deep relaxation.

Though Ashiatsu offers less discomfort than a traditional deep tissue massage, the benefits are the same, including:

  • improved circulation

  • deep relaxation

  • enhanced mental clarity

  • reduced muscle pain

  • stress reduction

  • better sleep

  • increased energy

So if you’d like to experience something new and beneficial for your well-being, try an Ashiatsu massage!
